On Money and Pricing
Money is not the root of all evil. Money is a tool. As we evolve and open our hearts, so the way that we use money evolves. At Converge Forward, we see money to be the human community’s currently available tool for honoring each other and sharing with each other. So, Converge Forward sets prices for products in a way that allows for mutual honoring and sharing. There are five strategies Converge Forward uses:
For our set price offerings, such as our trainings, we allow you to share your purchase with additional people (a set number, depending on the product). We do this, rather than offering a sliding scale, because it encourages you to build a mini community around your purchase. One of the goals of Converge Forward is to build community around healing. You may use some of our offerings as fundraisers for yourself or your loved ones, or even a special project you want to get off the ground. This is a mutual support offering: you help spread the word about the particular product or service, and we share the proceeds with you. You do not need to be a non-profit to participate. When we work one-on-one with individuals and families, we offer gift pricing. What this means is that there is a money exchange for the services we provide you, but we do not set the price up front. You pay us the amount that honors the gift that we gave you with our services. This amount also honors YOU—you show yourself that you are honoring your own growth, healing, and learning, and that you are giving this gift to yourself. We have put a lot of thought into this, and you can read more below, under "Abundance is not about money".
Please note: for workplace services, we will agree upon the services and pricing before the work is done.
Some of our online offerings are either free or low-cost. Current offerings: under construction! Coming soon: Channeled Mini-Messages for Hope and Planetary Healing, Peace is an Action Verb podcast, and Baking Bread with Christine
We are currently in the brainstorming and networking stage for various community projects. For these, we anticipate using a variety of financial agreements that maximizes the honoring and sharing for all as we work constructively together. Stay tuned to our website for updates, and, if you are interested in working with us, please reach out! We would love to brainstorm with you.
Money is only one way to measure abundance. The most important abundance that I seek, in being in business as a channeler, coach, teacher, and community organizer, is the abundance of being in service to all of you. The interaction, be it a healing moment, a project completed together, or a new skillset I have helped you grow, that is the most important abundance I seek to gain. Now, it is also important that the money exchanged is the right amount that honors the interaction and honors your gift to yourself. Please take a moment to feel into your heart what this payment amount should be.
In my own healing and growth journey, I have paid teachers and healers to help me. There was a time in my life that I would not spend money on myself in support of my growth and healing. So, when I started to do so, it was a sacred message I was sending to myself that I honored myself and was committed to my spiritual growth and emotional and physical well-being. Thus, what you spend should not be a trivial amount of money. I could set a price, but if I do, I am setting that price based on my own income history to-date. If you look at that price, you may feel that my services are either not good enough for you (priced too low to indicate their importance) or are too good for you (priced outside of what you can afford). So, if I were to set a price, I would be inviting a subset of clients who fit a certain economic bracket, and I would be missing out on the rest of you who do not fall into that category.
This is an experiment! So far, the results are good. Please note that, for return customers, if I feel that you may have set your first payment amount to me in a way that does not honor the interaction, I will check in with you about that before I agree to more sessions.
